Kelly Rowland's 2026 Comeback: A New Album, a Tour, Reunion Buzz

TL;DR — Kelly Rowland has confirmed a new solo album and a world tour for 2026, her first album since 2013's Talk a Good Game. As of October 3, 2026, there's still no title, release date or tour dates. Here's what she has actually said, the timeline so far, and where to start with her solo music while you wait.

What's confirmed, and what isn't

  • Confirmed: a new solo album and a world tour, both for 2026.
  • Not announced yet: the album title, release date, singles, label and tour dates. That's still the case as of October 3, 2026.
  • Not happening, as far as anyone has said: a Destiny's Child reunion album or tour.

The timeline so far

  • July 2025: Rowland and Michelle Williams join Beyoncé on stage at the Las Vegas finale of the Cowboy Carter Tour for a short Destiny's Child moment, setting off reunion talk.
  • December 2025: In an interview with L'Officiel, Rowland announces the album and tour.
  • June 2026: Accepting an award at the Black Women in Music dinner in Los Angeles, she hints again at the new music without giving details.

What she has said about the album

Her only detailed description so far comes from the L'Officiel interview: "There will be much more dancing, more freedom, more of me. I went back to the studio, and I put all my heart into it. It is undoubtedly my deepest work to date… This is the most sincere version of myself, without filters." That points toward dance-leaning R&B rather than a ballad record, though she hasn't released any music from it yet.

Why it's been 13 years

Rowland didn't stop working after Talk a Good Game. She released standalone singles such as "Coffee" (2020) and the holiday song "Love You More at Christmas Time" (2019), judged The X Factor UK in 2011, and has acted steadily, most recently in the 2025 Prime Video romantic comedy Relationship Goals with Method Man. What she hasn't done since 2013 is a full album, which is why this one is being treated as a comeback.

Where to start with her solo music

If you only know her from Destiny's Child, these five songs cover the range:

  1. "Dilemma" with Nelly (2002): her biggest hit, ten weeks at No. 1 on the US Hot 100.
  2. "Stole" (2002): the reflective ballad from her first album, Simply Deep.
  3. "When Love Takes Over" with David Guetta (2009): the dance-pop turn, and a UK No. 1.
  4. "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne (2011): slow-burn R&B that topped the US R&B chart.
  5. "Coffee" (2020): her most recent solo single, and a hint at the softer, freer sound she describes for the new album.

Her four solo albums are Simply Deep (2002), Ms. Kelly (2007), Here I Am (2011) and Talk a Good Game (2013). If you only try one, Here I Am, home to "Motivation" and "Commander", is the most upbeat and the closest to the dance-heavy sound she says is coming.
