What we collect, and what we don't.

Suggest Me Something is a small, independent site. There's no login, no user account, and no shopping cart. This page explains, in plain English, what happens with data when you use it.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 to see basic, anonymous traffic — things like how many people visited a page, which country broadly, and which browser. Google may set analytics cookies for this. We use this only to understand what's useful and what isn't. We don't build advertising profiles and we don't run ads.

What we don't collect

There are no accounts on Suggest Me Something, so we don't have your name, email or password. We don't ask for a phone number. We don't have a database of "users."

Your quiz answers

When you take a quiz, your answers are encoded into the page URL itself and read back out on the results page. They are not stored on a server. That's why two different people who happen to take the same quiz on the same day get results independently — there is no shared record of what anyone answered.

Third-party catalogs

Recommendations are fetched live from public catalogs — TMDB, OMDb, Spotify, Google Books, Open Library and Jikan/MyAnimeList. Those requests are made from our servers, not from you directly, so those services don't see your IP address. Their data belongs to them; their own privacy policies cover their operations.

What we never do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't share your data with advertisers or third parties beyond the analytics described above.
• We don't email you — because we don't have your email.
