The premise
Satoru Mikami, a 37-year-old office worker, is stabbed and dies, then wakes up in a fantasy world as a slime. He can absorb anything he eats and copy its abilities. Renamed Rimuru Tempest, he befriends a sealed dragon, takes in monsters who need protection, and slowly builds a nation that the human kingdoms and demon lords around him have to reckon with.
