Tom Holland's Spider-Man Movies: What Order to Watch Them In

- Captain America: Civil War (2016). Spider-Man's first appearance, recruited by Tony Stark. A supporting role.
- Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). His first solo film, against the Vulture (Michael Keaton).
- Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Peter joins the fight against Thanos.
- Avengers: Endgame (2019). The conclusion of that story.
- Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019). Peter deals with the aftermath of Endgame on a school trip to Europe.
- Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). Doctor Strange's spell to hide Peter's identity goes wrong.
- Spider-Man: Brand New Day (July 31, 2026). Picks up from No Way Home's ending.
The short version: just the Spider-Man films
If you don't want to watch the Avengers films, watch Homecoming, Far From Home, No Way Home and Brand New Day. You'll miss Peter's introduction in Civil War, which Homecoming references, and you need to know one thing before Far From Home: Endgame ends with Tony Stark's death, which drives the whole film. That's a big spoiler, so watch Endgame first if you plan to.
Do you need the older Spider-Man films?
Not really. No Way Home brings back characters and actors from Tobey Maguire's and Andrew Garfield's earlier series, and it explains enough to follow. But it's much more moving if you've seen Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2 (2004) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014). If you only have time for one, make it Spider-Man 2.
About Brand New Day
After No Way Home's spell, nobody, including MJ (Zendaya) and Ned (Jacob Batalon), remembers Peter Parker. Brand New Day finds him working alone as a street-level hero. Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) directs from a script by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who wrote the earlier Holland films. Jon Bernthal returns as the Punisher and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Michael Mando plays the Scorpion, and Sadie Sink makes her debut as Jean Grey. It runs 145 minutes.
It became the highest-grossing Spider-Man film ever, at about $2.5 billion worldwide, and the third-highest-grossing film of all time.
How long it takes
All seven films come to roughly 17 hours, most of it the two Avengers films. The four solo films alone are about nine hours.
